Have you ever thought of having a solution on your phone just like Microsoft Windows startup folder where you put the applications you want to load at the time Windows starts?
PowerBoot is the application which allows you to do that. It is the solution to start application automatically upon phone is powered on.
PowerBoot app maintains a startup list of applications. You can any time add/remove an application to the startup list from the provided interface. Powerboot is capable to start applications in 2 modes:
- Safe mode
- and Quick mode.
In Safe mode, PowerBoot prompts you about the application to execute. You has chance to continue or stop startup of the application. In Quick mode, PowerBoot does not prompt you and starts applications in one go.
As you can see in the screenshot, PowerBoot is capable to run S60 native applications and Java midlets. From the Options, you can add a new application. There are 4 methods available to add an application-
- Installed application
- Running application
- Javamidlet
- Command line
The application runs on Symbian S60 3rd and 5th edition based mobiles such as Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, N97, N97 Mini, X6, 5230, 5233 and 5530 XpressMusic. The application is developed by Wireless Labs Technologies. User manual is provided with the PowerBoot to let you easily understand the application functionalities.
