Download Application Nokia Energy Profiler for Nokia 5800, N97 and 5530

Nokia Energy Profiler is an S60 development tool that enables programmers to optimize software for maximum battery time by profiling power consumptions of applications.
Basic profiler usage: launch profiler, start measurment, launch application to be tested, exit application, stop measurments, and view captured measurment (or "trace").

Profilee operates in two modes: record and view. All measurments are done in record mode. Profiler computes power consumption by reading the built-in current meter once every 0.25s and voltage meter every 10s. Both are needed because power = current x voltage. The current measurment period can also be configured to 1 or 5s to minimize overhead from measurment activity itself in long standby cases.

Current measurment accuracy for higher than 0.4W loads is Values = 0.98x Reality. Standby measurments consume below 0. 05W. In this range, use 1 and 5s modes that will give you roughly Values = 0.7x Reality. Average power consumption is shown as a horizontal average line. The average is taken from between two consecutive gray markers. You can add markers, but you cannot remove a marker once added.

The most important indicator is the battery time shown in the op-right corner. The hours:mins format shows how long a fully-charged battery will last according to the measured average power consumption (W). There is much more for you to explore in this app. The Energy Profiler app is developed by Nokia Corporation. It works with Symbian S60 5th mobiles such as Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, 5530 XpressMusic and N97.
