Here is a business application called VAT Validator Touch for Symbian S60 5th edition based touch screen mobiles such as Nokia N97, N97 Mini, X6, 5230, 5235, 5233, 5800 XpressMusic and 5530 XpressMusic. It's a very handy tool for checking the validity of value added tax (VAT) numbers of any registered businesses in the European Union.

The application requires mobile internet connection in order to retrieve the VAT information. As a response, it will give information if the VAT number is valid. The application is developed by Offscreen Technologies. The interface is quite simple and very easy to use.
