Nokia Beta Labs has released another nice application called Nokia Video Cuts for Symbian S60 5th edition mobiles such as Nokia N97, N97 Mini, X6, 5230, 5233, 5530 XpressMusic and 5800 XpressMusic. Video cuts as name suggests is an application helps you finding the key scenes from a video or movie. With this app, its very easy to jump to a favorite scene of your video.
When you launch Nokia Video Cuts, it will search newly added video files automatically and add them to the gallery. You can use Nokia Video Cuts gallery to scroll through the thumbnails of videos on your device and preview any of the videos' key frames at the bottom of the screen. Then select your favorite video, jump to a key frame, and have fun.
Nokia Video Cuts enables user quick browsing, positioning and playing video files by integration of video contents based fast key frame extraction technologies. This application now supports 3GP, 3GPP and MP4 video formats, and also supports playing RM or RMVB format videos.
Nokia Video Cuts dislays the Video file list view to the user after all detected files are analyzed. In this view, each video file is shown as a thumbnail image together with its file name. The thumbnail image is the first key frame of the video. User can slide phone screen to show more video files.
When one video file is selected, all its key frames will be played sequentially in its thumbnail image area and also be shown in floating bar at screen bottom at the same time. User can slide the floating bar to quick browsing video key frames.
P.S. - The Nokia Video Cuts is an experimental research project and currently in Beta, so you may expect some bugs.
