It's really great that after more than 1.5 years of its release, Nokia is still working on the improvement of its one of the most selling mobile phone model Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Recently Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has got another firmware update. Now the latest firmware available is v51.0.006. The firmware is available via OTA (Over The Air).
You can update it by typing the keys *#0000# and then from "Options --> Check for updates". The other way is - Go to Settings --> Phone --> Phone mgmt. --> Device updates --> Options --> Check for updates. The size of firmware is 2737 KB. If your mobile internet connectivity is slow, then it might take some time to download the new firmware.
As per the information received, following are the changes/improvements in this firmware-
- Improved Mail for Exchange feature
- Improved video calling feature
- Improved Browser
- Performance improvements as always
Apart from the changes mentioned here, lots of other improvements also noticed by some users. Please share your observations after upgrading to this firmware.
